"Ancient instruments carry you into a profound vibration — a sacred space where your body knows how to heal. Every session is woven uniquely for you."
What is Breathwork?
Breathwork is a conscious, intentional approach to breathing that awakens the body's innate healing wisdom. Through guided breath patterns, you journey beyond the thinking mind — releasing stored tension, trauma, and emotional blocks held deep within the body, often beyond the reach of talking therapies alone.
Unlike meditation, breathwork is active. It engages your body's own intelligence, using the breath as a direct pathway into the nervous system. Within minutes, the breath begins to shift your physiology — quieting the stress response, opening the heart, and inviting a state of profound inner stillness and clarity.
At Essential Bodyworks, breathwork is never a one-size-fits-all experience. Each session is held in a warm, safe, and sacred space, shaped entirely around you — your needs, your history, and where you are in this moment of your life.
What Happens During Your Session
Your 100-minute session is a deeply personal, practitioner-led experience combining conscious breathwork with live therapeutic sound healing. Nothing is rushed. Every element is carefully chosen for you.
100 minutes · 1-to-1 private session · Tailored to you
Welcome & Consultation
Your session opens with a gentle conversation. Your practitioner takes time to understand where you are right now — emotionally, physically, energetically — and shapes the session accordingly. There is no agenda other than your wellbeing.
Guided Breathwork
Lying comfortably, you are guided through a conscious connected breathing pattern. Your practitioner holds a safe, compassionate space as the breath carries you inward — beyond thought, into feeling, into release, into stillness.
Live Sound Healing
As you breathe, ancient instruments are played live around you — Tibetan gongs, singing bowls, frame drums, and ceremonial rattles. Their vibrations move through your body, deepening the breathwork and amplifying your capacity to heal and let go.
Integration & Grounding
The session closes with time to rest, integrate, and return gently. Your practitioner guides you back into your body and the present moment. Space is held for you to share your experience if you wish — there is no rush.
"Using conscious breathwork combined with live sound healing, your practitioner guides you on a deeply personal inner journey — one that works on body, mind and soul."
Ancient Instruments, Modern Healing
Sound has been used for thousands of years across cultures as a vehicle for healing, ceremony, and transformation. At Essential Bodyworks, sound is not a backdrop — it is an active, living part of your session.
The vibrations of these instruments work on a cellular level, moving through tissue and fluid, soothing the nervous system, and creating a resonant field in which deeper healing becomes possible. When combined with breathwork, their effect is amplified profoundly.

How to Prepare
A little mindful preparation can help you arrive fully present and ready to receive the most from your session. There is nothing you need to do or be — simply come as you are, with an open heart.
- Eat lightly beforehand. Avoid a heavy meal for at least 2 hours before your session. A light snack is fine — arriving on a full stomach can make breathwork uncomfortable.
- Avoid alcohol the evening before. Breathwork works deeply with your system. Arriving clear and unfogged allows you to access deeper layers of release and healing.
- No caffeine on the day. Caffeine activates the nervous system in ways that can work against the deep settling that breathwork invites. Where possible, choose herbal tea or water on the morning of your session.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be lying down for the majority of your session. Clothing that allows you to breathe freely and feel at ease in your body makes a real difference.
- Spend time in nature, away from screens. If you can, take a short walk or sit quietly outside before your session. Step away from social media and news. Arrive with a quieter mind and a softer nervous system.
- Arrive open — no experience needed. You do not need to have practised breathwork before, or know anything about sound healing.
