Our Story
Essential Bodyworks was founded by Sharon Mountford in 2003 with a simple belief: when given the right support, the body has an incredible ability to heal itself.
What started as a small naturopathic practice has grown into an award-winning clinic and accredited training school, helping thousands of clients restore their health and training hundreds of practitioners to do the same.
Today, our team of five specialist therapists offers over 50 treatments - from colonic irrigation and massage therapy to reflexology and nutritional healing. We're proud to be a women-owned business serving Newcastle-under-Lyme and the wider Staffordshire area.

Founder & Naturopath
Sharon has been a Naturopathic Health Practitioner since 2003, specialising in Colonic Irrigation, Naturopathic Nutritional Healing, and Structural Integration. She's a qualified teacher who runs the accredited training centre and is passionate about helping clients and students achieve their best outcomes.

Rebecca specialises in Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Warm Bamboo/Hot Stone Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Ear Candling and Reiki. She's a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and also creates beautiful handcrafted crystal jewellery.

Colon Hydrotherapist
Natalie is a qualified RICTAT Colon Hydrotherapist who understands the powerful connection between gut health and mental wellbeing. After experiencing life-changing benefits from colonic hydrotherapy herself, she trained to help others on their health journey. Natalie is also qualified in Abdominal Massage and Hypnotherapy.

With years of hands-on experience, Nicola combines a deep understanding of the body's mechanics with a holistic, client-centred approach to treatment. Her sessions are tailored to the individual, whether the focus is relieving muscular tension, supporting recovery from injury, improving mobility, or reducing stress. Nicola is known for her intuitive yet effective style, creating a calm and supportive environment where clients feel listened to, cared for, and confident in their treatment. Her aim is to help people move better, feel better, and reconnect with their bodies in a way that supports long-term health.
